Matthew Henry was recently nominated by thirteen staff members for his dedication and patience with mentoring new nurses on the med/surg unit. the following are some of the situations that staff felt exemplifies Matthew receiving the award:
-Matthew is very conscientious, hardworking, and compassionate to all patients whatever the circumstances.
-Matthew is always willing to lend a helping hand whenever the staff needs him, including staying late to help his team. Matthew brings out the best in us and is a true leader.
-Matthew is a true mentor, he assisted me in hanging my first blood transfusion and made the process less stressful for a new graduate nurse.
-Matthew is the hardest working nurse on our unit, not only does he help us, but he also assists other units in starting IVs, rapid responses, and codes.
