Michele is a very caring and very dedicated nurse. During my stay at 4 West, I felt so fortunate and humbled by her respect and great service. She showed the utmost care in making me comfortable so I can have the best night even if I am not at home. I broke out in a rash I think is aggravated by wearing the hospital shirt. I only have personal shirts that I brought and got all dirty, so I had no other option. She offered to handwash them and spent quite a while in the bathroom washing them so I could use them as soon as they dried. She did it with no hesitation but with gladness.
Michele frequently applied anti-itching lotion so I could get comfortable and get some sleep. In the morning, she offered me coffee, but I said I wish I had a hazelnut creamer. She came back smiling with a cup of coffee and hazelnut creamer; she shared her own creamer with me. She made my day and ultimately turned my unexpected hospital stay into a very pleasant experience.
Everybody on this floor has been great and helpful, but Michele distinguished herself with her first-class service and treated a Veteran like me with respect. She is a piece of Joy. Thank you and God bless you.
