Ronnalee lights up the room and filled me with a sense of calm. I finally had hope and believed her every word.
This young woman just starting out in the field is an asset to GSAM. She was one of the first caregivers I had on admission. I was very worked up, but she calmed me by being very professional and very kind to my distress and discomfort. Going above what her job description is by showing her care towards me. I've been like this since February. From the get-go, she was just so sweet to me. Taking the time to listen and then uplifting me with her positive attitude and encouraging words. Whenever I needed her, she was prompt to respond, thorough with her care, and ensured that my distress was relieved as best as could be. She is kind and thorough in the technique of nursing. She gave me hope for the first time and that alone relieved so much of my anxiety. At the time we didn't have a diagnosis. But she would be positive and enforce the facts that I was in the right place. She spoke of her workmates with such high regard and reinforced that I was going to be taken care of, unlike the past, answers were going to come, and I will be ok. She lights up the room and filled me with a sense of calm. I finally had hope and believed her every word. In hindsight, everything she said has come to fruition. A wonderful kind loving woman. A true asset to all the patients and to all the staff she so selfishly helps, no matter how busy. Hard to believe she is so new to nursing, but what an asset and blessing she is to GSAM.
