Yolandi is getting our DAISY nomination for her never-ending encouragement, compassion, and excellence during our NICU stay with my daughter. Yolandi helped my husband and me during this difficult time with her genuine compassion and her willingness to help at any time. She did a great job of making our experience feel as positive and as home-like as possible.
For example, getting us a crib and using our own blankets, making inspiring art with our baby's footprints, and helping us bond with our baby as much as possible. While trying to get our baby to feed on the bottle and breast, Yolandi sat with me and encouraged me the entire time rooting our baby as she began to eat on her own. She made me feel like I wasn't alone during our stay as my husband wasn't able to be with me due to COVID-19. I believe Yolandi is a true DAISY Nurse and very much appreciate her and the time we spent together.
