I was hurting and I was wanting to go home but I felt like Erica really got how hard it was for me.
Erica is the nurse you hope to get if you are staying in the hospital. She was one step away when my IV bag was just getting ready to start beeping and here she comes with the bag. She has a motherly type of way for those who are upset. I've been here for several days and it has been hard. I knew I was going to have a good day when Erica was on. She has my meds ready and on time every time. I never had to ask for them because she had them. She made good calls when it came to prioritizing needed assistance. That's a sign of a great nurse.
The first night I had Erica, I was hurting and I was wanting to go home but I felt like she really got how hard it was for me. IVs everywhere, just a lot to take in. She just made you feel like you are going to get out sooner if you kept up with what the doctor told you to do. She encourages you to try hard like using spirotomy. She just stayed in my room while I did them. She makes it easy to comply and when you do it on your own she makes you feel so good about yourself. I was crying one night and she came over, she was off work and I'm sure ready to go home but she came in there and listened to me which was all I needed. She's an awesome woman and a great employee.
