Laura takes the time out of the busy role of being a unit charge nurse and scheduler and pours her heart into her patients.
Laura always goes above and beyond in her role as unit charge nurse. Not only is she a strong advocate for her patients, but she is a strong advocate for the staff on 3E. She is the calmest person in a storm on the unit, and if anything goes south, Laura is the girl you want on your team.
One time I was taking care of a patient who was very anxious and was very nervous before planned surgery and Laura called the chaplain to come to speak with the patient because the patient expressed that "she wanted to get saved". Laura takes the time out of the busy role of being a unit charge nurse and scheduler and pours her heart into her patients.
Laura always goes above and beyond for her patients and her staff. I experience a sense of calm when I see that Laura is charging because I know it will be a good day, everything will work out, and I know that she will be a huge help in more than one way. I have never witnessed Laura having a bad attitude. She literally gives every shift her best foot forward, with a warm smile and the biggest heart.
