Every time we called when Carli was on shift, she would come to the phone and give us all of the information she could.
Carli made a huge difference to our family while our father was in the hospital. She was the most caring and compassionate nurse that anyone could ever hope for. She made an extremely difficult time for our family a much easier one. We live approximately 2 and a half hours from Grandview. Our mother had a very difficult time seeing our father so sick. She was in no shape to be able to understand what was going on with him. Our method of communication became calling the unit and asking for updates.
Every time we called when Carli was on shift, she would come to the phone and give us all of the information she could. She was always upbeat and encouraging while communicating with us very clearly. We could not have asked for a better nurse during this time. We had to return home due to our mother's health. The next morning we received a phone call from Carli saying that our father was not doing well, and we needed to come to the hospital as soon as possible.
We made the two and a half-hour drive to the hospital, and when we arrived our father had stabilized somewhat. We believe this is largely due to the efforts of Carli and others to keep him alive so that we could be there with him when he passed. We can never thank Carli and others enough for doing so much for him at that time to make sure we were able to say goodbye. Carli is a valuable employee, and we want to thank her and commend her for all she did for us during that time. She made a great difference to our family.
