My husband was originally admitted for urinary problems then readmitted four days later due to extreme pain. After a battery of testing, we discovered he had lung cancer which had spread to his spine and hip joint as well. He was admitted and placed on the 3rd floor.
Urology placed him on the 4th floor where we met the most amazing humanitarian I have ever met, Mehul. Not only did he spend a lot of time taking care of my husband, but he was also very helpful with my husband's unmanageable pain.
Mehul is so attentive not only to the patients that he cares for but to the family members as well. He exudes compassion like no other nurse I have ever encountered in my years of health issues.
He is a breath of fresh air and is extraordinarily compassionate for the well being of the patient he cares for. Given the diagnosis we are now facing, he put a believable light on the prognosis of a future with radiation and medicine to slow this horrible disease that we are facing.
