My son commented on how Cassandra was always so patient with him, giving him time to do things on his own as he struggled but helping him when he needed it.
We got to know Cassandra during my son's first surgery stay. Due to complications, we had to return for a second surgery a month later. We were so happy to see her. The first night she amazed us by remembering my son's girlfriend's name, his sister's name, and that I (his Mom) always loved having a continuous bottled water by my side. She always went above and beyond- even searching for my son a special neck pillow to use in a chair because he was having difficulty lying in the bed. She was always on time (used her cellphone as an alarm), always one step ahead- very professional. She was always so bubbly and pleasant, full of joy- like a ray of sunshine entering the room! My son commented on how she was always so patient with him, giving him time to do things on his own as he struggled but helping him when he needed it. She was very compassionate- definitely a Godsend during this trial in our lives! She always made us feel like we were the only patient (family) that she was tending to but I'm sure that she had many others (and that she made them feel exactly the same way). She would cheer my son saying "Go, Z., Go!" as he struggled walking in the hallway. She worked so hard to care for our every need. She made our stay pleasant despite our circumstances. I wish her the best of luck in her career. She's certainly found her calling. We cried telling her bye!
