Maria has greatly demonstrated a real love and passion for her profession.
I am a 24-year-old woman who had to come in for the removal of my gallbladder. I found out I had gallstones at 6 months pregnant and went through several gallstone attacks. I lost 25 pounds due to my situation because almost everything would trigger the pain and I was terrified to eat. I had a really tough pregnancy, but I am so blessed and thankful that I delivered a beautiful, healthy baby girl.
Despite my whole situation, I am thankful I came in to have this surgery done because I know I needed to be well so I could take care of my baby. Due to COVID, there are no visitors allowed, and the first day I got admitted, it was extremely difficult for me because I had to be there alone and the thought of leaving my two-week-old baby at home was draining me emotionally. I couldn't stop crying and I just felt devastated.
Nonetheless, I am so thankful to God for putting this angel nurse, Maria, here to care for me because she offered plenty of support and showed empathy toward my situation. She took good care of me and made me feel at ease throughout my pain. Maria has greatly demonstrated a real love and passion for her profession, and I am thankful that there are still excellent nurses like her. Thank you, Maria, for caring about me and for giving me the comfort that everything would be okay.
