Patty has been continually available at any time- day and night when we were faced with new problems related to COVID-19. From our very first PUI when I called her at 0330 and she came in to ensure the new unit was functional and the nurse working inside of that unit would have all the support they needed while we were still learning, up to the morning when we reached out to her at the early morning hours. Patty always looks out for this whole hospital - not just her unit. She is amazing to work with and is such a blessing in a very trying time for us all. Thank you so much, Patty!

Patty definitely is a role model for her staff on the floor. She treats her staff with the utmost respect and expects the same in return. When a concern arises Patty is easily approachable, fair, and nonjudgmental. The nursing units have become a strong team and teamwork has improved with the professional guidance of Patty. As a nursing supervisor, I have to contact her on many occasions regarding concerns or questions on off shifts. She has always made herself available and accessible to me. At the beginning of the pandemic, Patty provided proper equipment, information, and education to the staff and the nursing supervisors. She created an environment that fostered care and compassion. She has made herself available and accessible to the staff via person, email, or text. The staff on the unit were prepared going into the pandemic with the guidance of Patty.
