Michael anticipates my husband's needs, a reassurance when things have been difficult.
My husband has been in CCU for almost a month with a rare West Nile Virus diagnosis and many complications/procedures resulting from that condition. Michael has been his nurse several times and each day has been welcomed by me; he is compassionate, speaks loudly (my husband is hearing impaired), and tells my husband what he is doing, even though his neurological processes have been affected.
Michael's care-giving skills are efficient, and he has gone that extra step to provide comfort and reassurance to both my husband and me. My requests, questions, and concerns have all been met with interest and dedication. Michael anticipates my husband's needs, a reassurance when things have been difficult. I also watched Michael instructing 3 nurses in training, explaining to them procedures and the care he provides, but never compromising my husband in the process. Hats off to this dedicated professional!
