Sarah continued to take the time to check on me days after my delivery. I had to stay a few days after my baby's birth due to me requiring several blood transfusions. Sarah was with me through it all.
I was hospitalized at 36 weeks pregnant. I was at work when I begin showing symptoms that were not normal. So I went to get screened at L&D triage. They decided to admit me. I had nothing ready, I was very scared until I met my Nurse Sarah. She knew I was a nurse and worked here and still would explain everything to me, which I appreciated. She went above and beyond to try to help me relax and push forward with my goal of delivering naturally. She checked on me several times. As a nurse, I understand how busy she was and yet took the time to be there with me and comfort me. Things were not going as planned and she was there to explain my options. After my baby's birth, she continued to follow me to check on me. She made me feel special and made me laugh. She continued to take the time to check on me days after my delivery. I had to stay a few days after my baby's birth due to me requiring several blood transfusions. Sarah was with me through it all. I had issues with the nurse unable to find an IV line for me, Sarah was there, Sarah checked on my baby, Sarah swaddled my baby the correct way and gave us a refresher on how to do it, Sarah also was there when I was having difficulty breastfeeding she was able to provide me with more tips. She always remembered how much I loved to snack on ice. I just want her to be recognized for the great work she did. This being my 3rd child but after 12 years this was all new to me again. Being a nurse I had my expectations and she went above and beyond. I highly recommended my friends to deliver at MMC due to the care she provided for me. Thank you, Sarah!
