Andrea knew I was scared and I asked her not to leave me. And she said she was not going anywhere and continued to hold my hand and comfort me till it passed.
Andrea went far and beyond with helping me and keeping me informed about my care. She was so sweet and always smiling; I never see that with a lot of nurses. When I was having a migraine with aura; she held my hand, had me breathe in and out. She knew I was scared and I asked her not to leave me. And she said she was not going anywhere and continued to hold my hand and comfort me till it passed. She did this out of the compassion of her heart it was felt! She was always asking me if I wanted to order food to make sure I ate and always explained the medicine she was going to give me. She kept me informed about the tests and what the doctors said. I was so happy I had her two days in a row. She was always smiling and happy. And she made me feel safe in these hard times. She deserves this recognition. And also, I don't hear; I read lips. She wrote down everything I needed to know on paper. And left it for the doctors to write as well since we are all in masks during COVID-19. I never met such a dedicated nurse in a long while. She is sweet and caring and a keeper. Thank you!
