Daisy's patients always comment on her tenderness and the consistent manner in which she cares for them as if they are a relative.
Daisy currently works on Unit 6 North. She has worked for AHC for more than 30 years and continues to support the mission and vision.
What her co-workers say:
"She goes out of her way to help us."
"She helps us when we are busy to lighten the load for all of us."
"She is always willing to answer our questions regarding best practices for patient care."
"She is compassionate towards family members of patients."
What his boss says:
Daisy exhibits the RISES values. She has been an amazing nurse both at Washington Adventist Hospital as well as here at WOMC. She is flexible in her ability to assist in caring for our patients, whether on days or nights. Daisy is always willing to come in on her days off to meet the specific needs to which she has the skill set. Her patients always comment on her tenderness and the consistent manner in which she cares for them as if they are a relative.
We really appreciate her flexibility in meeting the oncology patients' needs. She is supportive, whether she is at the bedside or in the charge role. During the COVID period, Daisy has often requested having her patients back upon returning the next shift. The Department of Education recently selected her as the certified nurse of the year because of her excellent and consistent practice.
