I was rushed to the emergency department via ambulance. I had developed an unknown complication related to an elective abdominoplasty. Luckily for me, medical professionals do their due diligence before discharging anyone; enter ED nurse Amandip Kaur. Nurse Aman was incredibly attentive checking in on me regularly, watching my vitals, and taking regular blood samples. Her bedside manner is superb. She reassured my husband and me that everything was being done to diagnose and treat my complication. Over the next six hours, we would learn that I'd began hemorrhaging, I have never been so afraid in my life, for my life. Aman saw the fear in my eyes, gently took my hand, and told me I was her top priority and that she would not leave my side until they took me into surgery. The care and support that I received that evening was world-class. My husband tried very hard throughout that evening to not let me see him fall apart, nurse Amandip was also right there for him after I was wheeled away to surgery with tears falling down his face. Nurse Amandip helped hold him up, hugged him, and told him that everything was going to be okay. Someday we would both like the repay that hug and show her our sincere gratitude for going above and beyond in every sense of the word. Thank you Nurse Amandip!
