Lisa came to radiology with the sedative and then stayed with my mom and was able to calm her down by patting her, talking softly, and letting her know she was safe.
Lisa has been caring for my 84-year-old mother. I have been fortunate to personally witness the outstanding compassion she has demonstrated with my mom. If not for Lisa, my mom would not have been able to get through a critical MRI of her brain. Due to her medical condition, my mom was extremely agitated and uncooperative. It was so bad that we were going to have to cancel the MRI. Lisa came to radiology with the sedative and then stayed with my mom and was able to calm her down by patting her, talking softly, and letting her know she was safe. The sedative alone would not have worked. There have been instances in the past where an MRI had to be canceled because my mom was too agitated despite a strong sedative. Lisa demonstrates the very best of nursing. It was very obvious that she cares for her patients. She went above and beyond. I have seen many nurses in action with my mom. Lisa is truly exceptional. She doesn't let my mom's very difficult behavior deter her from providing the very best care.
