Margaret has removed that weight by taking it up for us and bearing it so that we will not carry it during the healing process and we can focus completely and without distraction from our healing.
Margaret is a very mild-mannered and calm individual, but also extremely helpful and knowledgeable in handling patient care and their comfort. I am a man, but she actually reminds me of me. She is a woman on a mission, a non-stop worker like a farmer's wife—a serious hard-working person who does not stop until the job is finished. She has a great work ethic. She is the type who will roll up her sleeves and pitch in type of mentality and is not afraid to lead and is very well organized.
If the second floor ICU were an orphanage, she would be right at home with all the children - dressing them, feeding them, helping them with their homework, and caring for them as she has great administrative skills. She is caring and not afraid to show that side of herself through her work. We patients who are healing from near-death need nurses and medical staff like her.
I can see her going far in your organization. She is a gem and I bet I am not the first person to point this out to you. She will grow here and move up the ladder because she is not a quitter!
It is a great relief to know that there are good people like this that are taking charge and handling everything for the patients through her experience and expertise so that all we have to do is rest and heal. That is the way it should be. We shouldn't have the weight of the world on our shoulders, and this nurse has removed that weight by taking it up for us and bearing it so that we will not carry it during the healing process and we can focus completely and without distraction from our healing.
I will never forget her. She is a great woman. In addition to caring for me this time, she also served as my nurse when I came out of my first major surgery here. Nothing has changed about her, she is still a hard worker who is devoted to serving her assigned patients. Please hang on to her and do not let her go. She is a keeper for your organization. Thank you for allowing us patients to give you feedback and tell you about all those in your medical centers that have the greatest impact on our lives when we are fighting to get back to being able to live and cope.
