Claire, you should hold your head up high. You are a role model nurse.
Claire, I just wanted to take a moment and tell you that I think you are a great nurse! I too am a nurse and was pulled to your unit as an elopement watcher. I sat in the hallway and could not help but notice your behaviors around me and felt they needed to be commended. You are what a nurse should be. I witnessed you attempting to get into the omnicell to pull meds but was interrupted by another staff member asking for help to get someone back in bed. You dropped what you were doing and helped. You again began doing another task and were then asked to help the PCA take a patient out for discharge. Without hesitation, you grabbed the belongings and assisted her. People passed by, calls came in, patients and visitors were in and out, and you were always kind, considerate, helpful, and I never heard one complaint, ill word, or frustration from you. You should hold your head up high. You are a role model nurse. You acknowledged me, actually gave me a report on the patient I was sitting with. I told you I would be a little later to the unit due to having to give report and make a chart correction and you responded kindly. You made light conversation with me and acknowledged me as a person. You had a patient you were concerned about and reached out to the doctor, and gave the patient updates. Anyway, I just wanted to say, you should be proud of the nurse you are. I know a lot of nurses who could take lessons from you and your behaviors. Keep up the good work. (This was a note received by a co-worker)
