Sarah's warmth was tangible and we knew we were in safe hands.
My son G came in with a broken arm following a fall. We had spent hours in A&E and x-ray and we were both exhausted and apprehensive about what lay ahead in terms of an operation and overnight stay.
Sarah immediately put us at ease, speaking to G on his level and taking a real interest in him and his love of tractors (a reason behind his accident). Her warmth was tangible and we knew we were in safe hands.
Her professionalism and expertise were clear, but her human touch has made all the difference to a very scared little boy and an extremely worried mother.
Simple kindness like a cup of tea for me and an extra pillow for G made us feel so well looked after alongside her chatty conversation and listening to my nervous chatter for hours. Sarah really took the time to check how I felt and talk me through the process of G being in the hospital. She really made a difference to my own mental health over the last few days and this helped me to focus on G.
I'm so pleased I decided to come to Kingsmill. Sarah is an asset to the hospital.
