One story could not adequately provide a full understanding of how amazing Faith is. True to her name, she provides a core strength of hope for any patient she cares for. I have had the privilege of working with Faith for a few years and can say with absolute honesty that she has never once arrived to work without her unwavering compassionate smile and positive spirit. She has never uttered a single negative comment or displayed disappointment when asked to complete a task that others had refused. She faces every task with a positive attitude and consistently offers assistance to others whether she herself is busy or not. Not only does she provide outstanding patient care to every patient she interacts with, she truly shines through her compassion for comfort care patients. Her empathy and love create a beautiful aura that embraces and comforts the patient and the family in their most vulnerable hours. Even while writing this, I feel that I lack the magnitude of her impact on all of our lives. If you were able to spend just a few moments with her, you would truly see a special individual full of love, compassion, and selflessness and see exactly why she is a DAISY Nurse.
