This nomination is long overdue. Mark was an exceptional nurse tending to my needs in an experienced and professional manner. He explained in detail what I needed to recover and maintain my health and energy. Not once did I need to use my call button. Mark checked on me hourly, made sure all my needs were met and took the time to answer any questions I may have. I wasn't able to participate in PT due to my nausea during the day so Mark took the time to walk me around the unit at midnight when the nausea subsided enough for me to get up. He made sure I ate my meal and hydrated. He was kind, attentive, and used humor to allay my apprehensions. It was comforting to have him as my nurse because by the time I was discharged I knew what to expect in the days ahead and was able to look forward to my recovery confidently.
