My elderly mother, who happens to be a smoker, is scheduled to have a total knee replacement and had to visit the PAT clinic before her surgery. Michele was so patient and kind to her. She gave her practical recommendations on cutting down on her smoking. She delivered exceptional care and did not "talk down" to or lecture my mother on the effects of smoking. Michele truly engaged my mother in identifying strategies to help her quit and I am happy to report that mom has cut down significantly. Michele called my mother after her visit and explained the test results. She explained the procedure to my mother in terms that mom understood and arranged a follow-up appointment for her at her primary care office. I was so impressed with the level of caring and patience she demonstrated. The PAT clinic is fortunate to have her on staff. Michele helped increase my mom's confidence in her care team!
