I was upset and in tears when I was leaving, Lindsey hugged me and told me it was going to be okay.
I arrived at the ER in anaphylaxis, Lindsey immediately took me to a room and started working on me. My 10-year-old son was with me as well. Lindsey spoke with him seeing that he was upset and was able to calm him. My sister was able to come and pick him up and Lindsey told them I was going to the hospital. J was worried and scared for me and I appreciated her helping to keep him calm. I was very scared as an ICU nurse, too much information and worrying about how to get to the hospital was overwhelming. It took four rounds of epinephrine before I left in the ambulance. Lindsey was on top of my care and made sure I was sent to the right floor to get the attention I needed. In a life threatening emergency, she was amazing. I was upset and in tears when I was leaving, she hugged me and told me it was going to be okay. That is what I needed. The compassion and warmth she showed to my family were outstanding.
