My father was admitted to Mercy San Juan after suffering a heart attack. In turn, he has spent a great deal of time in the cardiac ICU. This event has been a very tumultuous time for my family that we were not prepared for. There were a lot of unknowns and times of extremely high emotion that would not have been possible to overcome without the tentative care and time taken by staff to keep us informed. I cannot express my gratitude for all the amazing doctors and nurses enough.
The entire staff in the Cardiac ICU is an exemplary team that has gone above and beyond each day to ensure my family is well informed and my dad is as comfortable as possible. However, there is one that I would like to recognize.
Jonathan is the true definition of a skillful and compassionate nurse. My dad is not always the easiest patient and Jonathan has a way about him that is so dynamic and sincere my father was able to open right up to him. His thoughtfulness and no non-sense care didn't go unnoticed. Time and time again during our extended stay he went above and beyond the call of duty. I want to take the time to recognize him to ensure that he and those around him know that it is nurses like him that help us heal not only physically but mentally as well! From the bottom of our hearts, we are extremely grateful for Jonathan and the team in the cardiac ICU!
