Marie has the most calming demeanor; her patients and peers both benefit from her calming presence and approach.
I have known Marie a long time and have always known her to be the most positive, kind, and hard-working nurse. She is a true team player and is always checking in on her co-workers and managers throughout the day (and even when she is not at work) to see if there is anything she can do to help them. Marie is the most compassionate nurse with the kindest bedside manner I have ever witnessed. I'm not sure if there is a thing as being "too nice" but if there is, that would be an accurate way to describe Marie! She would do anything for her patients and her peers. I've seen Marie stay long hours and pick up more shifts than any other nurse here at Grant Regional. She never wants to leave her co-workers or patients short-staffed. Marie goes above and beyond in her dedication to caring for patients whenever she can. Even on the worst days, Marie stays positive and keeps smiling. That is what I love most about Marie - her positivity and her smile. She rolls with the punches; I have NEVER once seen her get upset or lose her cool. Marie has the most calming demeanor; her patients and peers both benefit from her calming presence and approach. During a traumatic patient care event, Marie is the one I want to be by my side. She provides the best possible care-physically, emotionally, and mentally. Marie exemplifies what being an Extraordinary Nurse means and I cannot think of anyone more deserving. We are truly blessed to have Marie be a part of the Grant Regional family!
