Thursday was a very busy day. We had a full waiting room, and all beds were full. The patients in the waiting room were getting upset by how long the wait was. Sandra diffused multiple situations that could have easily escalated into a code grey. The way she handled and cared for each patient was done in a professional, kind, and empathetic way. The way she would pivot from triage to the back of the ED was nothing short of amazing. She never showed the patients how stressed out she may have been. Patients who were in extreme pain were comforted by her care and personality. A patient who was discharged let me know how great the care she received from Sandra was. I was in awe of her positivity and how genuine her concern was for each patient she saw. The way she worked was the epitome of extraordinary!
