Becky put in a great deal of care, kindness, and effort in order to liaise with our paediatric ward and team to organise a visit from Santa along with a huge sack of gifts for our patient.
On Christmas Eve whilst Becky was on her night shift, the ward had a patient with Learning Disabilities who became distressed due to being in hospital at Christmas and not at her home, she was afraid Santa Claus would not visit her. Becky put in a great deal of care, kindness, and effort in order to liaise with our paediatric ward and team to organise a visit from Santa along with a huge sack of gifts for our patient. Santa visited just after midnight to the delight of our patient and she was consequently able to rest and sleep knowing Santa had been and she had gifts to open in the morning with the nursing team on the day shift. Becky's act of kindness and thoughtfulness was so lovely and is to be commended, and is an example of what can be achieved through teamwork and joint effort for our patients.
