My precious husband had a massive stroke and was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital. He was in ICU for several days. Then after getting no response from him during that time was moved to a comfort care room. All of his nurses were very caring and attentive. The nurse I want to nominate is Tim Crane. I don't know where to start! Tim is an example of what a nurse is and should be. He was so caring and gentle with my husband. Even though he could not answer him, he was treated with respect and spoken to with kindness! Tim not only treated my husband, but he also treated me and my family the same way. We were informed of everything that was being done to my husband and why. But what was so amazing to us is that Tim prayed over my husband and with us. For comfort and understanding. This meant so much to me.
I'll never forget Tim! I believe with all my heart that God put Tim right there to be my husband's nurse the last days of his life! After my husband passed away, Tim spoke to each family member who was there and once again prayed with us. Tim is such an asset to LGH! I hope you all realize this! He will forever be in my heart and prayers! Thank you!
