I felt comfort in knowing he was knowledgeable and his ability to handle medical and personal situations. Josh's best asset is his bedside manner.
Mr. Geno was nominated by several Veteran patients as well as his co-workers. One Veteran writes, Josh was an important person following my surgery in October 2020. He was my "MAIN MAN" and since I was new to a cancer diagnosis was my caretaker and my "ANSWER MAN". He was so patient, went above and beyond to keep me on a healing path. Anytime I felt helpless or confused he was there to reassure me that I was progressing just fine. I felt comfort in knowing he was knowledgeable and his ability to handle medical and personal situations. His best asset is his bedside manner. We had a common bond with his Military background and I welcomed his personal attention.
Over the past few months, Josh has been recognized by Veterans, their loved ones, and members of the VA team. He has been specifically recognized by 3 Veterans who stated that he provided exceptional care and they were very appreciative of his dedication. The Dialysis team recognized him for his patient-centered approach. Stating that he is very thorough, for example, he was concerned about a Veteran's dialysis access site - he performed a thorough assessment and contacted the Dialysis team to share his observations. He asked them to take a look at it. This shows his dedication to not only providing exceptional care but advocating for the Veteran. Showing his ability to utilize resources to ensure quality care. He is flexible and willing to trade shifts and picks up extra hours to ensure that the unit is covered.
Josh is an exceptional nurse, team member, and person.
