David has taken amazing care of my son during his stay in the PICU. David is consistently on top of any issues/concerns before I even ask him about them. David is gentle and compassionate, not only with my son but with my son's father and me. Even though my son is very sick and requires a lot of all-consuming care, David is always calm and never makes us feel as if we are a burden or gets annoyed with our continuous questions.
David listens and actually hears us when we tell him things and always addresses our concerns immediately. If he doesn't know the answer to a question, he admits that and finds the answer for us in a timely manner. As a parent with a very sick hospitalized child, it is very difficult and causes a great deal of anxiety to have to leave your child's side for even a minute, but when David is my son's nurse, I am able to leave for hours at a time and feel completely safe doing so knowing he is in good hands.
