I recommend sister Eleyamma because she is a very humble and obedient lady. She helped me a lot regarding protocols, use of systems, software of computer and getting familiar with ward protocol ever since I joined the hospital as a new doctor. She is always willing to help and cooperate in all aspects of patient care. She has good and sound medical knowledge. She is up to date and familiar with the hospital operating system at KSMC.

She is a leader in Pediatric Surgery Department nurses who knows each and every detail of all patients in wards and the plan for the patients which makes her an extraordinary staff. I would like to nominate Ms. Aleyamma Ponnachen as a nurse leader. As everybody knows, she has been doing excellent work as a charge nurse in Paediatric surgery for 10 years, she is always motivated and has the ability to inspire and motivate everybody around her. She shares her knowledge and experiences with her fellow staff to help them with their work. Her primary concern always is that the patient receives the best treatment possible and she makes sure that no harm comes to them.
She is always pleasant and professional healthcare providers, supervisors, doctors, and even to the patients' relatives. She takes patient assignments almost every day and has never complained about her workload. There was even a day where she had to handle 9 patients and the CN duty due to high absenteeism. She always makes sure that she starts the endorsement on time. At times when the staff refuses to take up the patient assignment, she takes time to convince them to take up patient assignment and admission.
In the absence of the head nurse, she takes the role of the acting head nurse effectively. She always has been a helping hand to her fellow colleagues. Deals with her patients with patience when mothers are asleep and the child needs to be fed she volunteers to do it by herself. Compassionate early morning, before the rounds and ask how they are and what they need. Doctors and mothers rely on her and would for her even on holidays. All staff look for her and do not refuse anyone.
