I had my left knee replaced in Day Surgery. I had known for 15 years that the replacement was required. I am sure you can agree that knowing for so long there was added anxiety since this is major surgery, accompanied by an extended recovery time. Add in COVID-19 protocols and having to leave my wife in the waiting room to go to prep, as she is my rock. However, I have to tell you as my nervousness was ramping up walking into the unit, but it was quickly remedied by the initial contact with your staff — all the way through recovery, and subsequently my overnight stay. Hope is a tender soul. She instantly put my anxiety at ease and calmly guided me through to the pre-op process.
