Over the past two and a half years, Kylie has been wonderful. She has shown a personal interest in my wife's well-being and has been very supportive of us.
My wife went in to see Kylie for a rash on her arms that had been bothering her. During that visit, my wife was having trouble putting her sentences together and Kylie gave me a call. I let her know that I had seen some of this behavior in the past and Kylie asked that I take her to the ER to rule out any kind of stroke or tumors. This was my first interaction with Kylie, and it was on that day that we officially began our walk down the Early On-Set Alzheimer's path.
Over the past two and a half years, Kylie has been wonderful. She has shown a personal interest in my wife's well-being and has been very supportive of us. She has offered options for trying to find additional information and trials but more importantly, she's listened to what I (we) have to say. She is kind and caring and I have personally developed a strong trust in her because of the way she has handled our case. Her interactions with my wife are always kind and understanding.
I have also seen Kylie when I struggled with anxiety, as many caregivers do. We worked on a couple of options to help take the edge off and when neither of them worked out the way we hoped, Kylie was supportive of my decisions on a path forward. Although we know there is no current cure for Alzheimer's, I do not think we could ask for a better professional care provider in our court. Kylie had a desire to learn from our experience so she can better help others who end up with this dreadful disease. Whether she realizes it or not, in doing so she is helping us find something positive in our path in that what we share with her, might help down the line. Kylie has my appreciation, gratitude, and respect!
