Sara joined the Monitored POD family approximately a year ago as a GN on the Telemetry unit. COVID has proven to be a challenging time for us all but especially challenging for those who were just beginning their nursing career.
From the beginning, she has excelled in her role and continually goes above and beyond. As COVID cases began to peak, the Tele Observation unit was converted to COVID Unit. When the call came for volunteers to work the unit, she was among the first to volunteer. In addition to floating to the COVID unit as needed, she has shown great leadership skills. She serves on various committees and as a preceptor for our new graduate nurses.
Through the many ups and downs, she maintains a positive attitude and continuously lifts up those around her. She is recognized often by her team for being a great team player who always jumps in to help. In addition, she is recognized by patients and families for being a kind and compassionate nurse. We look forward to watching her grow in her career.
