Heather was one of the first nurses to volunteer to help out on the COVID unit when it opened.
The COVID pandemic has stretched the heart and soul of our nursing team and through this unprecedented time, we have gotten to witness nurses who have demonstrated resiliency, strength, and stability.
Heather has proven to be one of those outstanding nurses who have been that steady and stable presence. She was one of the first nurses to volunteer to help out on the COVID unit when it opened. She has recently accepted the challenge of becoming one of our charge nurses on the Stroke Unit. She transitioned very well into this position and has become a strong leader for our team. There have been many times she has had to take patients herself all the while being a charge nurse on the unit.
Heather is one of those team members who everyone gets along with and enjoys working alongside. When she is working, you know you can get through whatever the day brings, because she is always willing to jump in and help wherever she is needed. It is Heather's continued demonstration of excellence and integrity that has earned her the honor of receiving this DAISY Award.
