Yvonne is the only nurse I felt comfortable leaving my husband's bedside to eat or take a shower while he was in his final hours. She took the time to get to know me and our children. She was very proactive about getting my husband's pain medication before it ran out. She always tried to keep me informed of what had happened during the day when I couldn't be there. I actually cried one night when they pulled her from taking care of my husband to moniter chemo being given to another patient. Yvonne was there to support me and my family. Unfortunately my husband passed away a week later from colon cancer with metastasis. I am thankful for Yvonne's care of my husband and ultimately care of me as well.
