Last week I had a sick newborn in the ER; Abby came over to assist. She went above and beyond when coming over to our department to help. She helped get the baby placed on a warmer, IV started, blood work sent, and even educating the family and EMS when we had to transfer the baby to a higher level of care. Her expertise is invaluable. She had all the time in the world for the family's questions and for mine as well. She is what every nurse should strive to be on a daily basis. She is a true asset to the Meadows team.

Christy has shown time and time again her ability to provide great care with her impeccable chart review skills. Christy's thorough assessment of the patient and ability to identify care gaps is one of her best assets. This was also the case when Christy identified the breastfeeding struggles of a new mom during her postpartum visit at the office. After a discussion and assessment of the patient, Christy heard the concerns expressed were more than just that of a struggling breastfeeding mother and felt the need for further evaluation and support. Enlisting a breastfeeding consult with Abby Price could have saved this infant's life!
Abby again continues to shine just as Christy with her impeccable assessment and evaluation skills. After a short time with the mother and the infant, Abby quickly identified the red flags and knew this infant needed more than just a breastfeeding consult. Abby hurriedly enlisted the assistance and guidance of others to get this infant the care they needed from our amazing emergency department.
Abby and Christy both not only provide phenomenal care each time they grace the doors of Meadows but have a sense of connection to each life they impact with their care.
