Erin was the calm in the storm.
I need to let you know, and put in writing, the incredible and phenomenal person that Erin is. There are just no words. She was the calm in the storm. I am so grateful, there is just not a way to put it in writing. Yesterday was a whirlwind: a drug taking seven hours to thaw, changing syringes every 12 minutes, exercising the boys every 10 minutes, getting vitals every fifteen minutes, documenting start/stop times, and providing support to the families. Her composure, her calm, her flexibility are just unmatched. She was the solidity I needed in a time of incredible multi-tasking.
There was not one mention of exhaustion or being overwhelmed. Just calm. I will be forever grateful for the peace this brought me and these parents. What a momentous day. I am hopeful Erin will be assigned to us for the next infusion.
Thank you again also for such incredible leadership and collaboration. We have a lot to be thankful for in a year with so much challenge and I am grateful for the ability to work here, with this team!
