Maris is not only going to be a phenomenal nurse, she is also one of the kindest people I have ever worked alongside with. After having clinical with Maris and seeing how much she truly cared about her patients I felt as though she should be rewarded in some way. She always went above and beyond to make sure her patient was always in a comfortable standing from things as little as how they liked the covers on them in bed. Maris pays attention to the small details that others may sometimes forget. Each time she is assigned a patient she builds a relationship with that person before performing her job. Week after week she continued to do this even with the patients that were unable to communicate. No matter the situation she always had a smile on her face and was eager for the day. Another thing that stood out is after treating her new patients that week she would go back and check on her previous patients to once again make sure they were as comfortable as they could be. Maris is an amazing team member to have, always willing to be right by your side and get down and dirty. I hope one day I have the privilege of working alongside her as a nurse, to be able to see her continue to brighten everyone's day.
