Christine has always been more than willing to help with any task even before asking. I can always depend on her to provide the best possible care to my patients. I am so excited to work with her every time we are on the same shift together, because I know both my patients and I are well taken care of. There are a couple of stories that have really stuck out to me as to why I am nominating Christine. The first story is, she was taking a patient out to their car for a nurse, following our protocol. As she was taking her down, she noticed the baby turning blue and immediately took the baby out of the car seat. The patient wasn't breathing, so she started CPR. After a couple of minutes, the baby was responsive and breathing on her own. If it had been any other tech who had taken that patient down, I do not think the end-result would have been the same. She will be an excellent PICU nurse for her ability to assess the scene and immediately intervene. Another story is when I had a patient who was very emotional after being in an MVC. Christine took the time out of her busy schedule to sit with my patient and comfort her. She is very empathetic and really cares for all the patients she takes care of. The last story (there are more), but I'll just tell three. She helped me take care of a quadriplegic patient who was anxious. Christine helped me with nursing tasks (again without being asked) and made sure he was comfortable and felt safe. Christine deserves to be recognized for her constant smile, helpful hand, compassion, and willingness to help at any time. 
Christine was so considerate, kind and comforting to both myself and my son while at St. Louis Children's Hospital. She was our student nurse on the 10100 floor, and she took the time to make sure that my son had everything he needed to smile throughout the day. She was very patient, and one of the most pleasant nurses that we encountered while in the hospital. She went out of her way to bring both my son, and me an extra blanket on a very cold snowy day and made me a cup of coffee. It is refreshing to have that kind of kindness when you're in a situation that is unexpected and uncertain. This girl with her sparkly bow and huge smile can give lessons on how to treat others and how to give compassion to those who may just need a little extra smile in their day.
