I have known Maureen for six years and during this time I have witnessed her assist and care for her students and peers. She does not hesitate to help anyone if it is within her power to do so. My association with her this past year encouraged me to nominate her for this award. Maureen helped me twice before in Kenya to facilitate student learning during immersion experiences. This past year, she assisted me again in Fortaleza Brazil. She was instrumental in nursing one of our peers when Terry became ill. Last month, the students going to Kenya were moved to my Brazil trip which increased my student numbers from 10 to 24. I immediately asked Maureen for help and she didn't hesitate at all. In fact, she had to organize her personal and work lives in less than 2 weeks. That is absolutely above and beyond a peer's responsibility. Therefore, she truly deserves this award. Thank You!
