Dr. Raymond has over 30 years of nursing education experience in a variety of nursing programs including associate degree programs, diploma programs, baccalaureate programs and masters programs; teaching both in the traditional classroom and the online environment. In addition to her teaching experience, she was the program administrator for an associate degree program for seven years.
Other professional experience includes staff nurse on a medical-surgical unit, office nurse for an allergist, staff development coordinator in a hospital, research nurse, and a nurse director in a hospital.
Dr. Raymond started her nursing career as a practical nurse, then received an associate degree in nursing and then completed and RN-BSN program. She then received an MA in Education and an MSN from West Virginia University.
Her PhD in Nursing is from the University of Maryland. She has also obtained the Certified Nurse Educator credential.
