My formal name is Dr. Tracey Soper however, I prefer the pen the students’ know me as being Dr. T. My role as Subject Matter Expert of the course NR222 opens the world of health and wellness to the student nurses. Teaching health and wellness on line is my passion. Passing knowledge forward to the younger generation of nurses is my life’s work. My 30-year work experiences in critical care, emergency, informatics, staff development, and academics has rounded my perceptions to respect all cultures and grow the best nurses humanly possible. My work experiences have taken me to many regions and countries including Saudi Arabia. I have performed many roles in the various nursing arenas resulting in a multifaceted wide view of nursing knowledge. Teaching in the classroom, consulting and installing EMR, managing a stroke unit, director of education, and teaching on-line are part of my experiences.
I earned my MSN with a focus on nursing education and EdD with curriculum design and special instruction on line from University of Phoenix. The online world has both challenges and rewards that I enjoy equally. I am completing my DNP currently. I hope to grow with my organization and grow extraordinary nurses for years to come to help reduce the nursing shortage.
I and my spouse, my soul mate, have three children a Labradoodle daughter Sister, a Goldendoodle daughter Gingy and a Goldendoodle son Prancer. We take the dogs everywhere and have great fun. I am a Vegan and animal rights activist always trying to save the world one animal and one person at a time
