Leah has been a clinical instructor in the BHS Department for 5 years mentoring students in the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program. She uses her in-depth knowledge of preceptor expertise in order to match our NP students with the clinical sites that are best suited to both their individual strengths and learning needs. Additionally, she coordinates on-campus activities to augment clinical learning in the practicum courses including simulation experiences and case-based clinical conferences. She also practices as a nurse practitioner at UIH in the Clinical Decision Unit providing an excellent role model for our students.
