While in clinical in the Behavioral Health Adult In-patient unit, Divya was very therapeutic to a patient in the way she communicated and showed caring. The patient trusted her. As a result of her intervention, the patient decided to stay for treatment voluntarily which eliminated the need for any further action by the hospital or patient care staff.
Divya was calm, explained what was going on and what the nurses and doctors were trying to do to help. The patient trusted Divya and her actions spared the patient undo stress. All the nurses in the department recommended Divya for a DAISY-In-Training nomination.
