Sheri Gay Kirby excelled in the Mental Health rotation and was complimented by the staff that worked there. It was said this recipient was compassionate, insightful and able to bond with the patients. Further, while on a medical unit in clinical, this student noticed a patient that had lung sounds that caused concern. This student advocated for her patient, working in collaboration with the nurse and medical team, and the patient was transferred to ICU. During this process this student maintained professionalism, in going above and beyond for the patient that day. This is not unusual for this student as this is done with all patient's assigned. This student assists other students in the clinical environment whenever help is needed.
