Dr. Anderson?s career started 34 years ago as the LPN. She was satisfied with that role for only 2 years. She then earned her RN diploma from Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh Pa. She then achieved her BSN and then earned her DNP form Chatman University in Pittsburgh, PA. Her professional roles are varied from working in the critical care for 16 years and then exploring the autonomous role of the radiology nurse. She has held several administrative roles as well as in case management. She has taught in her alma mater, pre-licensure Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing. For her she says, I have truly experienced nursing "the long way around.? With her BSN, MSN, and DNP, she has raised her daughter without this growth time. She taught pre-licensure nursing students at her alma mater, Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing, and she feel as though she has truly come full circle! On a personal level, she has been married for 35 years to the same wonderful man; with one grown daughter, who got married recently. She lives in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania suburbs, and is an avid Steeler, Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguin fan! She loves animals, and her husband and has a "fur baby" Ellie who is a Lab/hound mix. Elliw was a rescue dog that could not get along with the daughter?s male Lab, so she came to live with us. She is my little spoiled princess, LOL! Diane collects Longaberger baskets, adores the food network, reads on the Kindle, to Vegas and or the beach.
