Mrs. Rose has been more than just a professor to me. I am originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but reside in Texas. During level one, around the time of finals, I received a phone call from a family member in Philadelphia being notified that my mom was in a horrible accident that landed her in the ICU. Unfortunately, she had rhabdomyolysis in her left leg and had to proceed with getting it amputated. Knowing that finals were within that next week, I had to fly to Philadelphia to be with my mom. Even though I informed all of my professors about what was going on, it was this instructor who went that extra mile, not only as a professor but as a truly caring human being. Mrs. Rose personally called me while I was at the hospital in Philadelphia with my mom. She was asking questions and making sure I was ok! I even missed a sim lab during the few days that I was gone (though I made it up when I returned to Texas) and she told my classmates to pray for me during the simulation. I have NEVER in my years of college had a professor like her. She has a true passion for not just teaching but caring for others as well. She is someone I will never forget when I'm at the bedside of a patient.
