Kathleen is a very kind and compassionate person to everyone she meets.  These traits are especially evident when she is dealing with students.  Kathleen will go above and beyond for her students, she will remain after class, meet students at inconvenient times and go out of her way to help them succeed.  Kathleen teaches medical-surgical nursing, which is a difficult subject for junior students; Kathleen will do everything she can to help them understand the material.  She is a great mentor to new staff and treats everyone with respect.  Kathleen is admired by students and colleagues and is a great role model for all.  Kathleen is well deserving of the DAISY Faculty award.
